When growth starts to feel heavy

You can love what you built and still be exhausted by how much depends on you.

You keep showing up because you care. But when every answer routes through you, ambition can start to feel like another source of pressure. You deserve operating systems and team practices that can carry more of the work with you.

You’re the answer deskQuestions, decisions, and dropped details keep circling back to you, pulling time away from the work only you can lead.
Your team wants to do wellBut unclear roles, handoffs, or expectations can create missed follow-up, uneven customer experiences, and work that has to be done twice.
You’re ready for moreGrowth is possible, but the business needs repeatable systems, team ownership, and room for you to lead it well.

The heart of the work

The work has grown. The care has always been here.

These client reflections come from the earlier Amber Charisse Biz chapter, including brand building, website development, and founder support. They speak to the thoughtfulness and follow-through I still bring to AC Operational Partners.

What does an operational partner actually do?

AC helps turn important but hard-to-carry work into clear plans, owned projects, useful systems, and documented ways of working. That can mean strategic guidance and hands-on follow-through, depending on what your business needs.

What kinds of projects can I hire AC to manage?

Examples include project management, marketing plans and campaign calendars, operational assessments, process improvement, hiring and onboarding resources, employee handbooks, SOPs, training guides, project tools, and customer-experience improvements.

Do you make a plan and leave, or help put it into practice?

We can support the work from assessment through implementation. The exact balance of planning, coordination, documentation, and execution is agreed in the project scope before we begin.

How does an ongoing partnership begin?

Ongoing partnerships have a three-month minimum and start at $2,200 per month, typically around six hours per week. Hourly engagements begin at $85. The right scope and fee depend on your priorities and are confirmed in writing.

Can you take on a one-time project?

Yes. Defined projects are scoped around the outcome, deliverables, timeline, and level of support needed. Project fees vary, and hourly engagements begin at $85.

How much work can AC take on at one time?

To protect the quality of the partnership, AC caps client delivery at 30 hours per week total, including no more than 8 hours on site. On-site time is scheduled as part of the engagement plan.

Will my business details stay confidential?

Client names and identifying details are treated with care. Public project examples are generalized, and client quotations are shared only with permission.

Why I built AC Operational Partners

I built the kind of operational partnership I wish more founders had.

I’m Amber Charisse Doss, founder and operational partner. For more than a decade, I’ve built businesses, pivoted through change, led teams, created products and multisensory experiences, and opened a storefront through That Good Peace. I know the joy of bringing a vision to life. I also know the unseen work behind it: scheduling, supplies, vendors, hiring, training, customer follow-through, and a hundred decisions no one sees. When those systems live in one person’s head, the founder becomes the business’s safety net. Meaningful work can still become too much to hold alone. After ten years as a full-time entrepreneur, I know how much care it takes to keep a business moving while still making room to lead.

From 2017 to 2025, Amber Charisse Biz was the home for my work helping founders shape ideas, build brands, and move important projects forward. Across branding, websites, business development, and marketing, I kept seeing the same need beneath the individual requests: founders needed a trusted partner who could see how the pieces fit, create a realistic plan, and stay with the work through follow-through. AC Operational Partners is the focused next chapter of that work, centered on the people, systems, and steady execution that help a business grow with more intention.

I started AC Ops because founders deserve a trusted partner in the space between vision and execution. I’m especially committed to Black women founders, who are too often expected to be the strategist, operator, and steady center all at once. With more than 12 years of experience supporting founders and teams, I assess workflows, surface revenue leaks and missed growth opportunities, strengthen hiring and onboarding, clarify roles, and build documentation and project systems people can actually use. I listen before I create, document before I standardize, and work alongside the people who carry the process.

My goal is not growth at any cost. I build mindful leaders and purposeful systems so you can reclaim time, attention, and mental bandwidth, support the people doing the work, and grow without carrying every piece alone. What’s planted in peace grows differently.

With care,Amber CharisseAmber Charisse Doss · Founder & Principal, AC Operational Partners
